Painting the Beaches
These beautiful beach scenes are the creation of Halima Washington. Halima is an artist who lives in Atlanta, Georgia and paints with a combination of a palette knife and a brush. She "loves using the impasto technique because she wants the viewer to be aware of the paint and her passion for it and wants people to see everyday ordinary objects and surroundings as extraordinary". Halima has a beautiful blog SMALL WORKS that is full of her magnificent pieces of work. If you're lucky enough to live in Atlanta Halima teaches at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and has her work available at the Anne Irwin Fine Art Gallery. You can also find out more at Halima's website.
